Hot August Nights 2014 - CANCELLED! NOTICE: The 2014 Hot August Nights trip has been cancelled due to  Union Pacific increasing the switching fee in Sparks well over $5,000K making the trip economically impossible.  Refunds will be sent out. 2014 Hot august nights  -- Join us -- Thursday, July 31st in Emeryville for a fun filled train trip through the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains to Reno's world famous Hot August Nights. Nostalgia in gears -- Jimmy Dean tears. American Graffiti on a Saturday night, A.K.A. Reno Hot August Nights. As the bad cars of yesteryear just-cruise-on-by, and the doo-wop-diddy sounds of early Rock-n-Roll frill to the rumble of those sweet 409's.

Departure aboard Virginia City from the Emeryville Amtrak station is on Thursday, July 31st. Return is on Sunday, August 3rd^.  All the usual Virginia City services and amenities will be provided: food, beverage and a great time, the perfect combination for a 4-day getaway weekend. Enjoy your layover in Reno, the Biggest Little City In The World with all the fun, excitement and entertainment this fabulous town has to offer. 

Sunday, August 3rd, we board Virginia City for the return journey home. However, since you are traveling by private railway car, your "experience" doesn't end until we arrive back in Emeryville. 

ABOUT VIRGINIA CITY
The Virginia City is an elegant private rail car equipped with a brass-railed open observation platform, cozy lounge with a working fireplace, dramatic dining room with an ornate 19th century crystal chandelier and a full galley to prepare our gourmet meals. Our car was featured in the Travel Channel's "Tricked Out Trains" TV show where the car's history and elegance was showcased. 

Train/Hotel Package Fares and Pricing
You may purchase a train-fare-only ticket but our most popular fare is the  special train/hotel package that includes roundtrip train fare plus all three nights at the Siena Hotel  for $934.00 per person based on double occupancy. Single occupancy package fare is $1269.00. 

The Sienna is located downtown and well situated for watching the nightly Parade Of Cars. Our 2010 Parade Of Cars video was filmed across the street from the Sienna.
